Citrix Receiver is the client component for the XenDesktop and XenApp. Complete access to Full desktops via the XenDesktop is granted only to devices who have the Citrix Receiver installed. Citrix is an application that provides Server, desktop and application virtualization. However, quite recently. With WIWW you can create msi files that will execute any command you specify and gives system administrators additional flexibility to remedy these challenges. The Windows Installer Wrapper Wizard (WIWW) is an old tool written long ago and no longer updated. It is generously provided here free courtesy of author Vincent an Egmond. Please shoot him a quick thank you if you find it helpful!
When investigating an issue with your Microsoft Office applications, you may need to determine whether you have the Windows Installer (MSI) based version of Office or the Click-to-Run (C2R) version of Office. These versions are based on different installation methods.
The MSI based version of Office uses Windows Installer technology, which is a traditional method of installing and updating Office. If you install Office by using MSI, you have to wait until the whole Office product is installed before you can open and start to use the product. The C2R based version of Office uses Click-to-Run, which is a Microsoft streaming and virtualization technology that allows you to open and start to use the product before the whole product is installed. Click-to-Run is the technology used to install Office 365 subscription products, while the MSI is used mainly to install the volume license editions of Office.
To find out whether your installation is MSI or C2R, in the Microsoft Office application, such as Word or Excel, go to File > Account. If you see an Office Updates section, the installation is C2R:

If there is no Office Updates section, then it is an MSI installation:

Hello, I have a Citrix reseller coming by this afternoon to sell me on XenApp. I decided to see how far I could get on my own with the Evaluation version. It appears to be version 6.0. I have the XenApp server running in my pool just fine. I followed the 20 pages of the getting started manual. I have two problems. One is, I need some CAL's for remote desktop. Ordered. The second problem is with accessing the server internally via the web. The web plugin does not load, but redirects to Citrix for their download section of the website for all downloads.
I manually downloaded the program to my workstation and installed it. When I now try to connect via the web to my XenApp server, it does not see the program installed. I dug a little deeper into this through the IIS manager and am able to get a little further when I try to browse the website from iis mmc. It is looking for the ICAWebWrapper.msi and can't find it.
The getting started manual did not cover this, but in the end, the test for our users will be to access the server remotely. I can't seem to find a complete manual that would cover this part of the deployment. A link or advice would be much appreciated. Attached is the error from the xenapp server browsing the through the iis manager.Thank you
